I trained in Sheffield as a Diagnostic Radiographer (DCRR) and have worked in several Xray departments, taught Veterinary Radiography for a while at The Dick Vet in Edinburgh, and for 10 years specialised in CT radiography as a Senior Radiographer. This background has given me a deep understanding and knowledge of the anatomy of the face which I believe is important for a Permanent Makeup Artist.
Although I loved my work I wanted to move into the complimentary health field, however a move abroad meant that this was put on hold for a few years.
I moved with my family to live in the Caribbean and whilst I was there I persued my love of art and was employed to paint pictures and murals for tourist accommodation, I even hand painted an old car which soon became quite famous on the island and was regularly snapped by tourists as a momento of their holiday and best of all when I sold it, the painting meant that people were clamouring to buy it.
Whilst in the Caribbean spending a lot of time Scuba Diving I decided to have my eyeliner permanently tattoed, this meant I could avoid wearing makeup which stung my eyes too much. Being a woman though I still wanted to look good under water and as soon as I got to the surface.
After moving back from the Caribbean I chose to study a Mastership in Reflexology, this is the highest qualification possible. It was during this time that my friend was diagnosed with breast cancer. She knew she was going to have chemotherapy treatment and would certainly lose her hair and possibly her eyebrows so decided to have her brows permanently tattoed. She tells me this was the best decision she made, as once her hair and brows had fallen out she could still put her wig on and appear "normal " to the world.
My friend's reaction to her new brows were a huge inspiration for me and I thought it would be wonderful if I could train to do this and combine it with my Reflexology practice. I too wanted to help Cancer and Alopecia sufferers feel "normal". I also give ladies who want to look good permanently the confidence to do so. I have all the professional skills necessary to give them great natural looking permanent makeup. Makeup that would enhance their looks and not overshadow them.
After a lot of research I chose to study on a one to one basis with Katy Jobbins one of the best Permanent Makeup Artists in the UK and Microblading with Branko Babic a world master of the technique. I believe that undertaking the best possible training was the highest priority both for myself and my clients.
I am now able offer my professional services as a Permanent Makeup Artist from my brand new Clinic in Lincoln. Here I offer both Permanent Makeup , cryotherapy services and also Specialist Reflexology.
I am so lucky, I love my work,I get to help people on the inside with reflexology and make them look great on the outside too!
